I had to find a new mechanic when Ray's went out of business in Penbrook. Hannold's was recommended by a family friend. They are welcoming, down to earth and keep you in the loop of repair work for your vehicle. I also like the fact they have been in business for years! I actually have family members going there as well.

These people are 100% honest, and that is a beautiful and unfortunately rare thing. They had me at my most vulnerable state, and they chose to do the right thing with it. I was traveling and have, up to now, been lucky enough to not have to experience the dreaded car breakdown on the side of the road, hours away from home. And then last week, I joined that club. We needed a tow to a mechanic shop and had no idea where to start looking for a reliable one. I started the usual Google search, checked reviews, called a few places, and no one was even able to look at the car for a few days. No bueno. We needed to be home the next day. I asked the locals and someone highly recommended them. I called and they were great from the start. I got the car towed to the shop, they looked at it the next morning, replaced a simple part and charged for just an hour of labor to put it in. The car was ready by 9am. I couldn't be happier and more grateful to the guys that took care of me. I will unlikely ever be back there again because I was on a road trip, yet it's amazing to know that they did the right thing when they had the opportunity to instead take me for the proverbial ride. The least I can do to express my gratitude to them is to write this review so that other people out there can benefit from using an honest mechanic shop that is local to them. So, if you're looking, this is definitely one of them!

I’m a single woman, and I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences with garages in the past, getting overcharged and sold services I didn’t actually need. But everything changed when I started bringing my car to Hannolds Service Center. I discovered that honest mechanics really do exist! Every visit to Hannolds has been a fantastic experience. The team there is honest, professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and genuinely friendly. I couldn't be happier with the service I receive at Hannolds Service Center. We have a 2007 Toyota Camry with over 180k miles on it and have been taking it to Hannolds for inspections and the usual stuff for a few years now and the car has been running great and weve not had to spend much on intermittent repairs. Great service all around!

I was looking for a new shop when my mechanic retired. Recommended by a friend, so I gave them a try. I have taken my car there a few times for some concerns and inspection. They are friendly, easy to talk to and they keep you involved before work is done. A down home garage. I will continue to take my vehicle here and will recommend them to family and friends.

The waiting area is clean, bright and welcoming, and the restroom is immaculate. The most professional and honest business I have ever dealt with, I can trust their work and their opinions every time. All phone calls are answered by real people who know and understand mechanical issues. There is never any attempt to upsell or suggest unnecessary repairs. This has been my go to garage since 1982. I have never been made to feel foolish for not understanding my own car.

They want $40 for an Oil Change & I have the (( Oil n Filter )) 😅

We’ve been going to Hannolds for about 4 years now since we moved to the area. The staff is always friendly, professional, and accommodating. They never over sell services or service recommendations. We’ve always been satisfied with their work and workmanship.

I have had my car serviced and repaired here for many years. They have always done a great job. I recently moved to Virginia but was back in Pennsylvania for a visit and took my car in for an oil change and to have my brakes checked. They fit me right in and to my surprise the brake parts were still under warranty. Their honesty, integrity and work ethics are refreshing in a world where that seems increasingly rare. Suzy Bowman

Brought my sons handicap van to them with a LAUNDRY LIST of issues. Everyone there was polite, professional, and helpful. For the amount of work done, they quoted a very fair amount. I picked up van today, and the actual total came out to less than what they quoted. This tells me they are honest people, as I agreed to the higher price. Thank you so much gentlemen. They deleted my negative review even though it wasn't even a 1 star. But I came in for an inspection and they charged me crazy amount to replace a bulb that is openly accessible and rotated my tires without me asking and wanted to charge me for that. They got all the grannies thinking they are all honest family owned, even one waiting was telling me the same thing.

I took my toyota camry here, a friend having recommended Hannold's after an unpleasant first estimate by my dealership. Keys were dropped off at midnight, expecting to be without the car for a day i was pleasantly surprised to receive word it was done following morning, and at a fraction of the price due to great insight on the mechanic's part. Everyone was very polite, friendly and helpful. I myself would now recommend them to anyone in need of motor work.

Love taking my car here. They are very professional and very knowledgeable. Went in for a yearly inspection and didn't pass because of a cracked windshield. The guy out front set me up with the person they use, I brought the car back two weeks later and had the new windshield installed and got my inspection sticker. Saved me an enormous amount of time calling around and scheduling with a second person.

my mechanic for 40 years died. looking for a new one. after reading these reviewed, I choose Hannolds for my yearly inspection. my car is 20 years old, runs good but has seen better days. I was here for an inspection, not repairs. they failed my car, listing rust, exaust all of it, rotors , a belt, and other things. making the car more costly to repair than it was worth. several of the repairs seemed bogus to me. like the rust issue, rust isn't an issue unless it goes from outside into a driving compartment. or is a structural member. thus this was not an state inspection issue. neither was the worn belt as it was for power steering. telling me I had a break fluid leak that got on the rotors. so now they need replaced. this is laughable. you would just clean them. I took the car to another inspection station. handed him the list of problems. the break issue took like 8 second to fix. 1 loose bolt. instead of replace the entire exhaust system. they replaced 2 bolts spot wielded a pin hole or 2. leaks solved. I had them replace the bad belt, because it was bad. my choice, not an inspection issue. total cost including the inspection was 182.$ my car is being retired this year, that was the plan. the point here is that my car was here for a state inspection. this is what you were hired to do. you can make me aware of other issue you see, but you must keep those as separate issues. telling me that fluid on the rotors, makes them need to be replaced. insulting! that is what I was told. it was not what was written on their inspection notice. if the guy at the counter said it to me. then that is a problem. my car nearly got junked a year too early. money does not grow on trees.

Someone at Hannold's is always available to talk about my vehicles, never pushy, never trying to "upsell" any services. Honest mechanics who know their business and have always fixed it right the first time.

The Hannold’s Team is hands down and all around AMAZING. They are honest, caring and honestly treat their customers like family. They recommend gently however are very good with letting you know when the recommendation is something that is needed sooner rather than later which I appreciate tremendously. Their approach has NEVER failed. Having trust in your mechanics is not common too much any more but it is steady, ready and a part of the Hannold’s fabric if service. Very pleasant folks running this place. Never felt like they would recommend services I didn’t need. I asked them to tune up if they thought it necessary. I will be going back for sure.

Outrageously expensive. Dishonest assessment. Parts are exponentially more expensive through them than any retailer.

The service, and commitment, from the guys at Hannold's is impressive. They work within my schedule to get the service done on a significant number of my collector/specialty cars. They care for the vehicles as if they were the owners. No issue is too large, or different--they always find solutions. I highly recommend Hannold's to handle any automotive service needs.
